Some books you read once, and that’s it.
Others stay with you, no matter how much time passes.
For me, that book is definitely The Little Prince.
The first time I read it, it felt like a simple, short story. I even remember thinking it was a bit too basic. But years later, when I picked it up again… it felt like I wasn’t reading the same book anymore. The book hadn’t changed — I had.
When I was younger, I saw a child traveling from planet to planet.
As I grew older, I realized that journey was actually through the inner world of people.
What I love most about this book is the feeling it gives:
It doesn’t try to teach you anything loudly. It speaks quietly, gently… but hits deep. There are moments when you read page after page without much feeling, and then suddenly, one sentence appears and stops you completely.
That familiar feeling…
What it means to truly care about someone, responsibility, loneliness… and most of all, that subtle truth: what is essential is invisible to the eye. The book explains this so simply that it doesn’t need anything complicated.
I can read this book over and over because every time, it touches a different part of me.
Sometimes I open it when I feel alone.
Sometimes when I can’t make sense of things.
And sometimes just to meet an older version of myself.
Strangely, this book reminds me more of myself than of a story.
It feels like a part of me exists between its pages.
Maybe that’s why…
Some books aren’t just read — you return to them.
And The Little Prince is the place I always find my way back to.
